Ok, so any time you look at an ad for a new car and there it is: Specs for horsepower and torque. You see it every time you look at a performance advertisement. People talk about horsepower and torque with a knowing nod of thier head but if you ask 10 different people what the two terms actually mean, you'll get 10 different answers. So let's lay the rubber onto the road and once and for all satisfy the issue: Just what is horsepower and torque, and how do those two things affect how fast your car goes down the track?
