The Mach 1 really made about 290-305whp on the motor and 385whp on the spray. Can't take the 340whp seriously. I believe that was from the auto fudging up the numbers a little bit.
Sorry, I took off suddenly. I hadn't slept at all and I was due to go to work in a few hours. Good meeting some of you guys who introduced yourself. I'm generally not a talker in person. I was getting a little sticky out there so had to bounce.
James, what did your beast put down?

I'm just glad that you made it out!
I'll let James report on his own. I seem to recall the Mach 1 putting out 280 rwhp on the motor.

I put down 401/448 on 7 cylinders.
Found my "miss" problem. #5 plug was cracked.
Did a leak down on all cylinders and @ 100 psi they all stayed at 4-5% loss. Put the new plugs in and the thing pulls like a freight train. Smooth all the way through to 6500. Too bad I didn't pull them while I was there. I could have gotten so runs in on 8 cylinders instead of 7.

Hey Wes, nice to meet you man. I should be fully awake next time. Your Z is gorgeous btw! Sounds mean as fuck too.
James, whenever I get a decent camera, I'll get you that video or just strap you in the passenger seat instead haha. So were the numbers what you were expecting? Considering what your car has run at the track, I'm gonna say the numbers seem a little low. I was expecting you to be easily in the low 400's.
Nice meeting you guys. I was able to put some names to faces.
I wish I could have been able to dyno my rice rocket.

Mike, I was hoping for 310-320 on motor, and 415 m/l on spray. My own damn fault, there are some maintence things that I didnt get done like plugs, filter is dirty as hell, etc. All in all though, no biggie, it was fun and next time it will be better.

Did Devin hook up the Mark? Dude James I thought youd have a lot hight number on spray..Wish I could have came and watched..And the Mach spinning I could see that. My buddy.. a fox body mustang he was smoking the tires at street machine nat. last year in Springfield. Its about 400 ish at the wheels. A lot of it is cheap tires..and if the guys hooking it up have it tight or not. His was the only car that day that spun but the next day I seen 3 that did..

He his DAD has drag radials, and the cars were cranked tight. Plus, when they spin, the graph shows the variance. Devin did hook up the 1st mark VIII ever to be on their dyno. I havent a clue at his numbers though. Sound and looked cool. I have a week car, what can I say. haha. I think you could quote me in the other thread a while back saying how funny it is gonna be to see how weak my car is. A jet or 2 fat

Wow. When you said these numbers were your guess yesterday, I figured you were spot on. Still good numbers though, especially for the times you've put down at the track.

YOU KNOW::: We could still put a few degrees more timing in it for the motor passes.
Change the plugs for pete's sake.

We went 0 for 2 on the dyno. My car was first on the lift but my rear tires were too close together to fit on the dyno. Kinda bummed me out. I was hoping for some numbers around 600. Had to settle for a couple of short hops in the parking lot. I figured the alky fumes would have cleared the garage any way.
We finished Nicks car around 10:30 pm on Friday night. We really needed a little more time to sort bugs out to be putting the Z on the dyno. His first pull resulted in a fire on the passenger side when a tranny cooler line got up next to the headers. It melted through and soaked down the asbestose wrap on the headers. It also sprayed down the car, the bay, the lift, the floor and Steve in the passenger seat. Every one moved real quick and the fire was out in seconds. Nicks eyes were pretty big After a bath for the car and a quick repair we got on the lift again. Mr Boost(hillbilly hisself) was finally starting to focus on the world by this time in the day and suggested some changes before we pull. So off we went to change some plugs(courtesy of Mr Chaney) and check timing. Third time to the dyno, we found out there was some fluid still in the wrap that we didn't get out, result; second fire. We were however prepared for this one and it didn't last as long as the first one. With last of the oil burned out. Nick and Nick decided to chance a pull. With about 4lbs of boost and less than 4500rpm, the air fuel ratio went to 14.6. Chaney and Nick both shouted to Kidzilla to shut it down. We tried to set the fuel pressure up, but it appears to be maxed out. So, some changes need to be made for before we can hammer the Z. Thanks goes out to Nathan Chaney for his expertise and advice. I'm pretty much a naturally asperated guy and need all the help I can get. I also like to thank Talifaro Imports for their patients and help. We'll be back.

You could always take off the A/C..power streering, on the ol Camaro to get a litte more stress of the front of the engine LOL. Its like winter time right now you dont need it anyway LOL. Another thing have you moved the battery? Take off the front sway bar. Adjust timeing and theres no reason your car isnt in the mid 11s..
