Motorized Mayhem Ensues...

we got pretty well smammered yesterday and painted doug's car. i thought it turned out pretty well for being painted by a guy that lost count of the number of beers he drank while doing it, hell, i ain't even sure i could've counted my fingers by the time we were done.







what do you guys think?

Damn!!! That looks good!!! Get some different damn wheels though. Nathan, you are so painting the lincoln just as soon as I come up with some extra money.

YOurs looks better than mine. Mine's got the grille all pushed in and the bumper cover is missing some paint and it sits all wonky eyed.

i make it a practice to try not to critisize other peoples cars. once in a while i just can't help myself, but for the most part i try to be as respectful as possible. your car looks fine to me. also, wait untill you see this car in person. we didn't worry to much about body work, as a matter of fact, the driver door is still jacked where the axle smashed it at george ray's. we just painted it anyway, and will match a new door to the car when doug finds one.

What would you charge?

i usually just get $35/hr plus materials, so the nicer it already is the cheaper it will be. if it's just a matter of sanding it, laying the silver, re-clearing it, and buffing it, then it shouldn't be too bad at all. having to fix dents and dings can drive the price up pretty quick.

Jason and I took 70+ dents out of the Mark VIII when we painted it.
