I am looking for a set of 17" rims for the mustang and someone nearby who deals in mickeyu thompsen(need a set of et streets). drag radials I have now are not good enough in reveiw of video and data log feed it is letting the car dance down the track to much.(lil slower but almost like flying hillbilly

i think 417 motorsports sells m/t stuff. dancing cars are kewl, they keep you from getting bored while making a pass.

You should try drag radials that are made for drag racing. Yours are made for lateral traction. Actual drag radials would do you find IMO.

I agree. The tires you have right now are mismatched to what you are wanting from them.

i know the tires I have are not good for drag strip but ran a set at KC I borrowed from friend(BFG) and they are better but still according to data log are let it hook( lots of low end torque and the tune with the quick shift on the auto(trying to get that extremely fast shift. I was told by some guys who are running 10 with 05 and 06 mustangs that mickey thompsen et sttreet are a street legal drag tire and they make a good tenth diff especially with the auto. It seems the auto tranny works good up to 650 hp and makes a big difference

I am just saying I wouldnt go with ET streets. Go with a radial, good example is today ET streets are not allowed. Has to be a radial. There is only a couple cars on this board that will not hook with a Drag Radial. Whether it be M/T, Hoosier, or even a Nitto. I was getting 1.8 60' with old nittos at the midnight drags, and that was stock suspension and pussy launching.
