I watched a vido of one hitting a concreat wall at 70mph in a test crash. Lots of plasic pieces flying all over the place. The compartment fram didn't look to bad, but so much of the engine compartment was moved into the drivers compartment that it was doubtful that anyone would survive.

I would never drive a car like that I dont care how good on gas it is. I have seen pictures of one of those after a head on with a semi truck and it was ugly.

Not that I am in any way trying to defend the Smart Car, since I think they are a cross between a clown car and a tennis shoe, but no car is going to look too good after either a 70 mph run in with a brick wall or a head on with a semi.

waiting till daylight to take pics with phone, but my freinds mach1 just tried to stop a loader with its frontend(a case of bad parking idea by his wife) it is not pretty. fiberglass hood does not hold up a loader rearend. broke accessorys on motor. supprisingly i couldn't even feel the car when i backed up they liked to not got me stopped before pushing if into my Tahoe.

I saw a blue and black smart car at the Steak N Shake car show a month or so ago and the guy hated it. He said he only gets like 35mpg.
