Check out my profile. And I got new plugs and wires and it still didnt help. I know the egr sensor is bad will that effect the performance? It seems to stuggle at the higher rpms. Let me know what you guys think.

OK, I posted on another thread, but it's good that you put up a new post here. EGR sensor being bad is known to cause bad idle (at least on a Ford) but if it is allowing vaccum to escape then it could be causing a whole host of issues. It's a pretty cheap part, but sometimes a bitch and a half to replace, I am not familiar with the positioning on your engine.

Try the cap and bug bub, only like 16-18 bucks first. Throw them on, usually if its cutting out at higher rpms it is in the spark from one source or another

Almost any kind of engine cut-out is either fuel or ignition. It's either one of those two things, or it is something else. I hope this helps you narrow it down.

I was thinking fuel filter until he said he can smell unburned fuel when he is at high speed/high RPMs. That makes me think that he is not igniting his fuel correctly. I have heard of spark plugs being literally "blown out" when the gap is too large, what are you gapped at?
