Motorized Mayhem Ensues...

I know a guy around here who has a LS series Firehawk. Im not sure on year. Im waiting on him to call me back. Its black with a LS6, 6 speed..looks and sounds stock as a rock. But It runs very very well!! Its got A/C and everything. Im just thinking of something to drive around and put my car on hold. All friends and family say No..get MINE done..but its really nice, $10,000 takes it. He just needs money for his 70 Chevelle..We do a lot of service work on his heat and air stuff(he owns senior pepers) so we know him pretty well. Just thought Id ask..should I get the Hawk or finish the GTA?

I damned sure wouldnt pay THAT much for it. If you want a late 4th gen, I can find you one for 4000 less. (PS, ls6 was only in the B4C cars, and even then they were only ls6 heads and intake)

Either save your money and fix the GTA, or find a cheaper car. IMHO anyways

Well its a 6.0 block the engine has over $10,000 in it. Then a viper spec 6 speed. And suspension. I told him to prove that it had the power it made (dyno it) and Id prob buy it. It never gets drove. It just sits in his garage. Were at? and What is it? I really want a WS6 or Firehawk..no offence..Im not a Camaro guy..

is it a Z? I like the SS but Im just a Pontiac fan..I love that Red one for 18.5 but not the wheels..36,000 miles..the hawk is a really low miles car to..

If he swapped a 6L then thats cool, but when you are buying a firehawk as cool as they are, you are buying the name. I wasnt trying to be insultive, but IF you were still planning on doing the GTA, but something cheaper that you can drive. Not something that you will have to baby just to hope it holds its value. Camaros are lighter though haha

Damn you got me they are arnt they lol. No I just want something thats done. I can take to teh track and drive home. Iv got a Nissan truck I drive but I jsut thoguht Id put mine on hold for a few years...but Idk..Shit Ill just finish mine and shut up..LOL

I agree with James. If you buy a firehawk, you are just buying a name. It's like buying a John Deere. You pay 20,000 for a John Deere and you've really bought a 3,000 dollar tractor and 17,000 dollars worth of green and yellow paint and a name.

Joey, if its what you want, then by all means get it. One thing you have to do is get your toys now. I didnt mean to take that thought away from you, I was just trying to show you 4000 difference. I beat the hell out of mine, should by the grace of god hit mid 11's, then drive it home in the A/C getting 29-30 MPG. If you like the birds then get one, but search around a little first, and find one worth the money.

Yeah I want to get one soon or finish mine soon. Im geting ready to get my first real place with my g/f..kinda excited..and nervous. But once that home is ours..the toys stop. She wants me to get my car done and then we will look. So we can afford it ya know. If you could find me a WS6 id be interested. Id sign up on the fourms but I get on so many I cant keep track of passwords. But I think the best for me is to get mine done..its my car..bought it when I was younger..first car and its more a sentimental thing I guess. Lots of partying and fun times ya know..But thanks for helping me out lol. Even though I HATE CAMAROS..Especially Black ones..lol JK black or red is the only real color for a car..Thanks man!

Just to throw my two cents in, buy what you want. If YOU think the car is worth it, then go for it. Later when you have 2 kids and a mortgage you probably won't have the same choices anymore.

On the whole I haven't been impressed with the performance of the Firehawks, I haven't raced one yet that I wasn't in front of by the end of the track. The one you are looking at is probably different.

Another negative thing to consider, though, is that sometimes when you are buying someone else's build, you are buying someone else's problems.

I'd say find a stock one for less money and go from there.

Also... there's a difference between Camaros and Firebirds??

This is true. Stay at home and save up your money. I have my own place and after buying it and realizing how broke I am now, I wish I would've stayed home a little longer.

I think thats about right. I know the car is flawless. Its suppose to have 600 at the fly wheel. its prob more like 450-500ish on pump gas. Iv never got a ride but My step dad has and all he says its f****** fast as hell. Way to much for me but idk. Im to set on my car after talking it over with everyone and my g/f. She doesnt like 4th gens..Everyone has them. Hell I might just go get the plastic and order the tranny this week! Ohh and we go pick up the engine in 2 weeks!!!!!!! Ill have pictures after we get it all painted and put back together..Im haveing it base coat/cleard to match the car. Then my accs. will be Gold to match the strips!

just be like everyone else and get a mark 8
