Street To Strip - Drive what you race!

i have watched two movies from anchor bay entertainment in the last week, and i have to say, i'm blown away. i have always been a huge fan of friday the 13th, and some halloween and nightmare on elm street. the newer stuff has not really gotten my interest, for instance the saw series just holds no appeal for me, i like the slasher genre instead of a pointless gore fest. last weekend i watched "hatchet" and that was basicly a return to the slasher genre, with some comedy thrown in without diluting victor crowley our slasher. some of the effects were not too great, and the blood spray was over the top, but overall it was an enjoyable movie. tonight i watched "behind the mask, the rise of leslie vernon" and it was a new and interesting twist shot from a documentery crew following our prospective slasher untill the carnage actually starts and then everything changes. i would recomend both movies to old school horror fans, they are not the equal of friday the 13th, halloween, or nightmare on elm street, but they are very watchable if you are a fan of those kind of movies. i will be keeping an eye out for more from anchor bay in the future.

Ahh the toxic avenger. Saving the world with a mop and a bucket. A janitor who ended up getting turned into a rather ugly guy from a toxic spill that was aimed at silencing him. Good thing his girl friend is blind (also well endowed). I think there was about 3 of those movies.

I'm going to have to watch those 2 movies flyinhillbilly. I love the old horror movies! We should have a horror movie fest some weekend!

Vorhees gets my vote too. I like big sluggish scary guys (not in a gay way). I really enjoyed Rob Zombies version of Halloween. The guy that palyed Michael Myers was awesome, just because he is big enough to throw you through a wall without any assistance in real life.

i haven't seen the rob zombie version. hatchet and behind the mask are horror mixed with some comedy, i highly reccomend them.

You need to. It's awesome. The guy that plays Michael Myers in the Zombie version is the guy that played sabretooth in the first xmen movie. He's so much bigger than everyone else. See No Evil is a good one too.
